Our pipeline construction will occur along the western-side of Mason Road starting near Covalent Lithium and moving southward towards the ARC rail corridor. 

Before we reach the rail corridor, ATCO will cross to the eastern-side of Mason Road and commence underground drilling. We will continue southward, drilling under the rail corridor and Thomas Rd, to connect to our existing pipeline near Accensi.

Construction works are planned to start in early April and finish in early June 2023.

Due to the proximity of our works to Mason Road, traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of our crews and local traffic. Traffic delays and some noise are expected while works are underway. Updates will be provided to local businesses, as well as reflected in the map above.

Please follow all directions from ground crews and traffic management.

It is unlikely any roads will be closed during our construction works. 

However, for the safety of ground crews and road users, there may be some temporary lane closures in certain areas. In these cases, ATCO will endeavour to provide advanced notice to businesses about the planned traffic management. 

Construction noise during works is expected, but we will do everything we can to reduce the noise of the works during business hours: most likely between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday.

Noise management plans will comply with council guidelines.

Our process involves using a combination of open trenches and trenchless technology to install gas mains. 

The trenchless method greatly reduces the time needed to complete works as well as reducing the impact to road users and businesses in the area.

Excavations will still be required predominantly along Mason Road to get the pipes underground, however traffic controllers will be onsite to ensure local traffic can move safely around the area.

No, there are no planned interruptions to gas supply as a result of these works.
